QuiltEd Partners is a consulting practice whose methodology enables clients to realize the value of aligning intent and impact in community. We weave our approach into customized partnerships that meet people, leadership teams, and governing boards in the uncertainty of challenging moments. Through the process we build clarity, collective understanding, and capacity for wise action that honors people in complex systems.
QuiltEd Partners’ methodology prioritizes learning, doing, and engaging with diverse and conflicting perspectives. It draws on the kaleidoscopic view of schools and schooling that Shauna developed over 20+ years working inside schools and organizations — as a qualitative researcher, educator, school leader, professional developer, and consultant. That depth of lived experience, combined with theory and practice-based expertise in organizational learning, is what makes QuiltEd’s approach distinct. Rather than applying pre-packaged programs or prescribed frameworks, we build each engagement from the inside out — meeting clients where they actually are and building their collective capacity to sustain a shared focus on students and their learning long after our engagement ends.
Our Founder
Shauna Brown Leung brings more than 25 years of experience working inside schools and organizations — as a qualitative researcher, educator, school leader, professional developer, and consultant. That kaleidoscopic perspective, combined with deep expertise in organizational learning and organizational change, is what makes QuiltEd’s approach distinct.
Shauna studied at the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University, where she was also a member of the faculty for Instructional Rounds in Education. Her professional experience spans K–12, higher education, and the nonprofit sector — including work with the College Board, the National Council on Education and the Economy, and the National Park Service.
She launched QuiltEd Partners in 2020 with a commitment to making the knowledge practices of qualitative researchers more available in people-serving organizations. Rather than applying pre-packaged programs or prescribed frameworks, QuiltEd builds each engagement from the inside out — meeting clients where they actually are, and building their collective capacity to sustain the work long after the engagement ends.
